I have a medical background with more than 10 years of experience in the Medical Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Seeking to explore different opportunities, I have also dived into many varied pursuits eg. starting an online business and working in a health startup. My experiences have honed my communication, decision-making, problem-solving and empathy skills.
After wasting time building products based on my own interpretation, I have realised that businesses need to understand the problem that customers face rather than trying to find people to sell their products. This realisation has made me decide to pursue UX / UI design so that I could design products based on user’s needs. I have never regretted my decision in going on this path as I really enjoy the design process and it is fulfilling to design things that benefit both users and businesses.
I have transitioned into the design industry by completing a UX/UI design boot camp where I completed 2 client projects. Now, I am ready for the next step in product design.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and tasting food from different cultures. I also have an inquisitive mind and like to learn from field experts.
